The New Albany Medical Center is connected to Mount Carmel Health’s - New Albany Surgical Hospital, a 96,000 sf orthopedic hospital on a serene 13-acre campus. The hospital was founded and is focused on the care, prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological disease. Mount Carmel Health Systems (S&P Rated A+) one of Columbus’ largest health care providers purchased the hospital in December 2006.
New Albany Medical Center tenants include independent physician groups along with Mount Carmel Health System. The offices perform pre-admission physicals, diagnostic testing, consultation and administration of the patients before hospital admittance. The Medical Center provides physicians worldwide the opportunity to witness/learn the latest in surgical procedures and technology.
The center is part of the New Albany Business Park a sprawling district that covers 2,000 acres and includes more than 2.2 million square feet of general-office and medical-office space. More than 8,000 employees work at the 13 companies located there. Over the next decade the New Albany Business Park is expected to bring in an additional 10,000 jobs..
